At the heart of Connections Photography is Fiona Saunders – originally from Ireland, Fiona shares her time between London and Ireland, going wherever her work takes her, being commissioned for photography in London, Ireland and further afield.

Fiona started her photographic career after several years working in business consulting. Feeling a desire to have a closer link between art and commerce she left the corporate world behind and completed a Degree in Photography at the University of Westminster in London.

Specialising in all types of portraits – environmental, classic, corporate, children, travel - the name ‘Connections Photography’ sums up Fiona’s approach to photography - Fiona believes that a memorable portrait is one that is a product of a connection between the photographer and the subject. When asked the regular question of “What do you photograph?” Fiona usually sums up her approach with the answer “Anything that talks to me”. Maybe the Irish ‘gift of the gab’ plays some part in this.

When not photographing, Fiona can be found dancing tango, playing with her gorgeous nephews, attempting to speak Spanish, standing on her head (in yoga that is) or dreaming about producing her next photography book.
